WEAR-RESISTANT, HIGH-TOUGHNESS STEEL PLATE – HARDOX® 500 TUF

For conventional wear-resistant steel plates, the higher the hardness, the better the wear resistance. However, once the hardness exceeds a certain limit, the material’s impact toughness decreases, making the steel plate more susceptible to cracking under severe impact loads. Therefore, there is a need for a wear-resistant steel that still provides the properties of a high-toughness steel plate. Hardox® 500 TUF wear-resistant, high-toughness steel was developed to meet this demand.

Hardox® 500 TUF wear-resistant, high-toughness steel is a premium wear-resistant steel grade with exceptional toughness, specifically engineered to withstand severe impact loads while maintaining outstanding wear resistance and minimizing the risk of surface cracking.
