KALSICA

KALSICA is a silicon carbide ceramic material designed for plant components that require not only outstanding wear resistance but also high-temperature performance and resistance to thermal cycling stresses. KALSICA is available in various grades to suit different operating conditions and application requirements.

Typical applications include the lining of cyclones, coke discharge chutes, and other equipment exposed to severe wear and high temperatures.

Properties:

• Excellent wear resistance with a smooth surface finish
• Outstanding corrosion resistance
• Suitable for applications exposed to aggressive chemical environments
• Available in thicknesses starting from 2 mm
• Maximum operating temperature up to 1,550°C (depending on installation conditions)
• Excellent resistance to thermal shock and temperature fluctuations
• High thermal conductivity
